Butlers

A Butler is traditionally the head of all the staff in a household. Like a House Manager, a Butler can take responsibility for recruiting and managing other staff, and supervising their work. A modern Butler is a multi-skilled individual whose duties may include: household budget management, IT and communications support, wardrobe care and maintenance, wine cellar management and looking after guests, to name but a few. An increasingly popular combination is that of Chauffeur / Butler, whereby the Butler takes on driving duties in addition to regular Butler duties. A Butler may also be part of a domestic couple team.
