Tutors
A Tutor is essentially a private teacher who will come to your home and deliver an education programme specifically tailored to your child or children. They generally teach on a one to one basis which is a particularly productive way of learning, however, tutors can teach small groups of children at the same time.
A Tutor can be someone that is academically trained to teach, i.e. have a teaching degree or a recognised teaching diploma, or they may be someone who is simply experienced in tutoring in their chosen subject e.g. in their native language. The Tutor will communicate fully with the parents in order to achieve the desired goals.
Tutors can work on a full time basis, or part time alongside other childcare staff such as a nanny. They can also work on a temporary basis, for example over the school holidays, to help children catch up with school work.
