Nanny PAs

In addition to standard Nanny duties, an individual can take on extra responsibilities as a Personal Assistant to the parent(s). Giving a Nanny extra responsibility can be beneficial to both the employer and the employee. The employer can instruct the Nanny to perform extra tasks that are not related to the children - perhaps as the children are at school and the nanny has time to spare during the day.

A Personal Assistant is a professional who is primarily engaged in managing the social and professional demands of an employer. The duties of a domestic PA may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Make travel arrangements
  • Answering emails
  • Replying to invitations, booking appointments and managing the household calendar
  • Assisting in the planning and organisation of parties and other engagements
  • Errands (shopping, gift purchases, dry cleaning etc)
  • Making reservations and placing orders

The experience that a Nanny/PA has will vary with each individual. For example, they may have previous office experience, or they may have gained PA experience from other Nanny positions. A Nanny/PA can either live-in or out and may be employed on a full time or part time basis.

Salaries
Salaries vary depending on experience and qualifications. The following is a guideline.

Live-in Nanny/PA salaries typically range from £350-£450+ net per week.
