Nanny/Housekeepers

A Nanny/Housekeeper has two distinct areas of responsibility: one is for the care of a family's children, and the second is for their home. In most households that employ a Nanny/Housekeeper, the family's children spend a noteworthy amount of time out of the home, usually at school or nursery. This allows the Nanny/Housekeeper to take care of the daily housekeeping tasks in their absence.

The Nanny/Housekeeper's childcare responsibilities are similar to a those of a Nanny in that they are responsible for caring for the children whilst they are in the home. This will include preparation of their meals, bathing them where necessary and taking care of the usual nursery duties.

The Nanny/Housekeeper is also responsible for the general upkeep of the home. Duties may include making beds, children's laundry and bedding; parents' laundry and bedding, vacuuming, and polishing.

Salaries vary depending on experience and qualifications. The following is a guideline.

Live-in nanny/housekeeper salaries typically range from £350-£450+ net per week.
Live-out nanny/housekeeper salaries range from £450-£550+ net per week.
