A Mother's Help is a member of staff who can provide both childcare and light housekeeping support to a family. Whilst a Mother's Help is not as experienced as a professional Nanny, they will usually have worked for at least one year in a childcare role. They may have gained their experience working in a Nursery, or looking after children for friends and family. A Mother's Help should not have sole charge of children, and their hours of work will usually be more limited than those of a Nanny.
