To register for a role in a private household you must have over three years' experience in your chosen field.
For nannies we require a childcare qualification or at least two years of experience working in a private household environment.
Chauffeurs must have at least five years of experience working as in one-on-one roles in order to register with SLM. Work for a chauffeuring company cannot be considered.
Please be aware that for many private household roles, particularly those that involve work with children, you will be required to have a Criminal Records Bureau check. If you do not already hold a current CRB disclosure, you can apply for this through SLM at a cost of £47.50.

For private household roles we will also require two written references from previous employers. If you are offered any role you will be required to provide up to date details of previous employers so we can contact them.
Once you have submitted your CV you can apply online to a specific job vacancy (just click on the “apply” button and your application will be sent to the appropriate person).
